A Flumey Experience
During last Thursdays visit to Alton Towers me and my two freinds witnessed what looked like an E-Stop on the Flume (Which we were about to join the queue for) and after seeing it happen we decided to give it a miss as the queue obviously woudn’t move until the problem was resolved. We decided to head down the Haunted Hollow path towards Duel and Forbiden Valley.
After getting 80% of the way down the path we were suddenly met by a flowing river over the path. Glancing through the ivy arches, we saw the flume not just stuck but pouring water over the sides of its ride trough!
After wading through the new river we had a good giggle about our new experience at Alton Towers and its new paddling facilities but on a serious note, the ground had become sodden and the archway was beginning to come loose from its dug in position! Health and safety field day!
But it just proves that even after the many times I’ve been to the Towers there is always something new and well… sort of fun if your name’s Ewan MacGregor at least!
